2008.

Truly a really bad year. Yet another friend died in this year which I thought would be a good one. Isn't the number 8 supposed to bode good luck to all? This time, in a bus crash from Ipoh and absolutely no fault of his, he has sacrificed and joined God in his kingdom above. Singapore has also lost another talent in the medical world. This man, is one of those whom I'd definitely trust when I needed medical help. All those good times spent with him in sec sch and JC... where we struggled together to battle the O's and the A's... where he's supposed to attend the first sec sch class outing in 6-7 years next week... Dr Ho Chung Shing, the first and last time I'd be calling you this, may you rest in peace. You are a great friend who would be remembered.

And to think I had traveled that exact route just 2 years ago when I visited my cousins in Ipoh. No wonder my uncle insisted that I take the best bus service home in the day time. Many thanks to Sin and Sum for the news. In the least, he made it to the news and a mention in 93.3 in his lifetime.

-----------------------------------

A bad year this is.
1) The worst financial turmoil after Great Depression and within my first official year working.
2) 2 friends and an uncle moving on to after life.
3) My being sick for more than 5 times this year.
4) Car wheels being stolen.
5) Other personal problem which I shan't disclose.

Oh well... what could be worse? Perhaps I shall look at the brighter side of things. At least my family is safe. At least I still have a job in these tough times. At least I'm still healthy and young enough to start over when things gone wrong. At least I am satisfied with my GMAT grades. At least the financial meltdown is halfway through and going to be over and gone. At least I have learnt a lot during these times. Let's just hope that this year will end happily. Life is perhaps too short to be sad for too long. Shall look forward, be happy and be surprised by what lies ahead. Who knows what will happen the next moment in life. So shall appreciate what I have now. At least I'm feeling better from the terrible flu I had yesterday, which involved all the common symptoms of headaches, vomits and d... Things will work out.

Well... shall look forward to going home in 2 weeks and eat my fav nonya changs. :) I gotta learn how to make those one of these days. yeap ,and Much needed rest from all these shit. haha~ Although I just had my Thanksgiving break with my parents, my brother and his gf. But that got me real busy instead of absolute rest. Not that I'm complaining. It's always good to have people close to talk to and play with. At least that's better than living within empty walls... haha~ which is why yuan yuan chun should count his blessings and be happy to co-habit with his Tiong girl. hahaha~

yeap... so the last few mths were a busy period. Personal goals to work on. Academic goals (GMAT) to achieve. Work goals to accomplish. Those extra hours put into work... just so that I would be allowed to take leave and return home for a few days during this peak period. Oh well... whatever. Let's just hope that this year would end well. 2 more weeks of work for the year!!! Whooopie! 2009 shall be a better year! =)

***Try dragging me and my friends *** =)

Inspiration Quotes

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
