ah si nor na si wa wu ji ba ban.
If I have a million bucks. Just heard this song recently on 93.3. Wish my baidu is working... I wonder if it's any problems on you guys' computers. Think they blocked off for the Olympics. Anyway, it was saying something about traveling round the world, driving ferrari and counting money everyday and smile. A million bucks. It's really not a lot in this age, not to mention that a flight from Indonesia to US is already a million rupee. Even if it's in SGD or even USD, is it really that much? A good well-located house in either country is already worth much more than a mere million bucks. But nevertheless, a million bucks is still significant. I don't even have a 100k of assets... maybe not even in the next 5 years, if I'm not the only one using it that is. But what is the significance of money when you don't have the right people to spend it on? Spouse, family... Spouse in particular, cos the spouse would be the one with the first hand view of how that sum is earned. What then is the significance of a large sum of money when your interest isn't on material sensations? But then again, some interests do require quite a bit of capital, even though it's totally material unrelated. A million bucks. What would you do with it, if you got it, say through TOTO? Spend? Definitely. But not all. Invest? Sure. Drive Ferrari? No. I'm happy with a Civic or a Prius. Travel? Yes. Count money everyday? I've got better things to do. Besides money is dirty, after so many exchange of hands! Smile? Definitely. Not many people are good cash managers. Like Michael Jackson, once a millionaire, is now a bankrupt. Well, I guess the next question is, have you ever thought you'd become a multi millionaire? I wouldn't say a millionaire, because looking at how land property rises, and the rampant inflations, a million bucks isn't really out of reach. You may have a million bucks in 50 years time, but that probably could only last you a few years. Like New. As if. Just spent a big bomb on car maintenance yesterday. Was sooooo irritated by it. Not because of the bomb, but because the guy told me max 2 hrs. If I really learnt my lesson from prior experiences, I wouldn't be going to work at 3pm when I brought in the car at 8am already. 2 hrs. Anyway, they changed a whole lot of stuff from the car, timing belt, transmission oil, water pump, what not. I didn't even bother to listen what needs to be changed, and just asked "how much?". But yeah, the car does feel better in terms of power transmission after that. But it still has this little screeching sound whenever I do a 90 deg turn. I thought that would be fixed. After everything, when I thought I would be driving the most superb Civic in the world, the guy just has to tell me this - "You know what? I'd recommend you to change your strug after you put a few more miles on the car." Best! And that one thing costs just as much as what I spent changing all these little parts yesterday. TMD! But the most annoying thing is still the fact that I had to arrive at office when everyone was just about leaving!!! OT till 10.30pm. Tired! But ok lahz... morning conversation with ger makes everything feels so much brighter and easier. =) And I don't even need coffee to dong till 10.30pm when I woke up at 7ish in the morning! Amazing! Talking about work. I think I'm really not putting enough hours into that man. People around me seems to be putting more hours at work. But... but I have just so many things I have to do. And I don't have anyone to make dinner for me at home man. Alright, maybe I shall TRY head to office earlier everyday. Keyword: TRY. Too many things to do. I can never ever stop complaining about the tons of work to be done. GMAT, work, side project, write patents, review patents. I wish I could heck care everything and start on a taiwan drama serial. Haven't have a chance to watch any for months! All I've done for the last few months are: GMAT, work, side project, write patents, review patents. Bo bian. I need to clinch that promotion recommendation from DJ in order for life to be slightly better. Not easy, especially with a giam Japanese Company. Jia you! Bball. Played that today, from 3pm to 7pm and coming back with an entire wasted body! Really, the last thing you'd ever want to do is to play 4 hours of Full court basketball and have dinner after that with a bunch of PRCs. Imagine a 480Hz processor trying to process a High Definition Video at 1.6GB/s. HD video: 你知道到新加坡旅行应该 去几天呢?新加坡的法律是不是动不动就给人鞭刑 死刑的呢?吐个痰是不会被抓去鞭刑 吧? Processor: 你... ... 去... ...死... ...吧. Just kidding. But my response I guess was really slow. Couldn't process as well as I normally could. |
