Woohoo! Finally finished that project that I was assigned... and my project lead was pretty satisfied with it. I hope it was useful manz... Sense of satisfaction, but I must be determined to finish my next task a little faster. Really can't stand my level of efficiency now. Somehow, I think I'm still not up to speed yet. Other people seem to be able to finish their task pretty quick. Oh well... I guess, as I get more familiar with the system, and the way of doing things, I'd finish harder task faster. Right now, everything I'm assigned to, I have to go study everything from the bottom, as well as the skills required... and then tackle the assignment, which is probably why I take so long to finish a task, as compared to another more experienced person. Oh well... probably by the time I reach their standard, I should get a pay raise. Then again, comparing my wages to the time I take to finish an assignment, that assignment really looks costly manz. Paying a few grand for a report? That really doesn't sound like a good deal. Oh well... I guess it's just an investment, so that when I finally understood the system better, I'd be able to contribute more useful stuff at the same cost... hopefully.

On a similar note, I just had a meeting today with some companies demonstrating the capabilities of their special remotes. Was pretty in awe with it actually, not totally, but enough to have a pretty good impression. When the meeting was dismissed, a bunch of us were talking about it, and two of my colleagues were saying how bad that was, and was not as useful for our purpose. They could even provide cheaper alternatives to achieve similar results. That is what I call ginger is still spicier when it's old. Looks like there's much for me to learn. My respects for old folks.

Talking about old folks, it makes me feel real old when I recall the days when I had to stay up all night or wake up early (as in 4am) to finish hw or mug for exams when I was in sec sch or JC. That seems sooo long ago. Well, if you're wondering what made me reminisce about this past, it's the national anthem played on 93.3 at 6am everyday. And why was I up at 6am? I'm not! It's 2pm over here, and I'm just back after lunch, working. So I listened to the morning 93.3 every single work day. It is really quite interesting, because I don't normally listen to morning programs on 93.3 due to obvious reasons like school. It's the transition from dawn to day that I find interesting. The program was so peaceful before 7am, before the DJs come in. Then it slowly got busier, with the DJs announcing the weather, the traffic conditions and the news every few mins. I really could feel that bustling atmosphere as my fellow countrymen in Singapore wakes up to a new day. That was nostalgic and homely.

And I wan to watch 长江七号, 功夫灌篮, 死亡笔记3 and Ah long pte ltd!!! Why am I in US manz? arrgh! I hear that every single day on 933 loh, which makes me even more want to watch them. Oh well...

Inspiration Quotes

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
