Where would you spend your 5am on Black Friday (of Thanksgiving)?
1) GameStop 2) Circuit City 3) Staples 4) Walmart 5) Best Buy 6) Home Depot 7) Toys R Us 8) Cost Cutters 9) McDonalds 10) In Bed Without Doubt, such moments of the year are too precious to waste it in bed and has to be given to the place that sells the thing you want most. I decided give this precious moment to Walmart in hopes of getting the best deal on a bottle of Pure Canola Oil. The bottle I have at home is running out fast. BUT to much disappointment, that bottle of Pure Canola Oil was nowhere to be found on the shelves! How can Walmart not sell Pure Canola Oil, I thought? Hence, I came up with several perfectly logical conclusions: 1) They ran out of Pure Canola Oil on Thanksgiving Sale because I arrived too late. 2) Customers who want to buy Pure Canola Oil need to camp overnight and get a ticket. 3) Pure Canola Oil was swept up on Thursday by desperate housewives who had to prepare the Turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. 4) The tanker carrying Pure Canola Oil crashed into San Francisco Bay, leading to a shortage. 5) FDA banned the sale of Pure Canola Oil because the healthier alternative of Pure Virgin Olive Oil. 6) Walmart simply does not sell Pure Canola Oil. Looking at all these possible conclusions, I think Option 2 is the most logical choice, because Pure Canola Oil is such a precious resource and definitely justify the need for a ticket to limit sales. Helpless, I decided to not waste the trip to Walmart and got other stuff instead, and that includes sugar, dryer balls, Spring Bottled Water, Vitamins and a USB Hub (yes, and there're 3 dumb salesladies who don't know what's a USB Hub). Seriously, I was totally amazed at the fact that someone actually started camping outside Walmart at 7pm yesterday just to get a ticket! Yes, I totally believed my brother who said that people actually DO camp outside stores on Thanksgiving night. But why Walmart? Perhaps someone has a greater desire to get that bottle of Pure Canola Oil. Like Walmart, Best Buy was one of the most packed stores around, and looking at the remnants of packed food and bottled beverages outside the store, I gathered that there must be a long line before I came. Such a pity I couldn't get a ticket from Best Buy. I could probably be $50 richer if I had that. The darn salesman said that they're out of Vaio laptops when I could clearly see them stacked nicely behind the counter! Well, that's a true example of 睁眼睛说瞎话。 What's more, that person beside me actually blatantly reached in and grabbed a box of emachine even though he doesn't have a ticket. Then after some time, another sales person was complaining about some missing products. I simply stood there and enjoyed the show. That's the price of telling me that there're no Vaio laptops left when there're tons behind the counter! Bleah. Oh well, I got a cigarette lighter splitter and a toe-nail clipper from there. It's only till this day then I realize why there are big nail clippers and smaller versions of them. The smaller ones are fingernail clippers while the larger ones are toe-nail clippers. I always thought the smaller ones are travel packs, and the bigger ones are for the home. I already have a toe-nail clipper at home, but I still got the larger one. Well, who cares? Nail clippers are nail clippers. No matter big or small, as long as they cut nails well, they're good nail clippers. Yeap, that's for my Thanksgiving spree. I've got all that I wanted to get, except for that bottle of Pure Canola Oil. See ya folks. |
