Wah I can't believe it, I made so much food for dinner and it only costs me about $3. Had 12 dumplings which I made myself, 11 meat/fish/sotong balls, 1 corn dog, 2 bunches of pek choi, and noodles... Damn full... and it only costs that much... Really, I'd rather eat these den spend 9 bucks outside on a bowl of pho which I'd probably won't feel as full... Just imagine that. One cheap meal outside already worth 3 home meals... So how about having a rib-eye steak, which costs $25, for dinner? That would be 4 days worth of food for me?!?!!! Thank goodness I'm not near any restaurants that serve Singapore food...
Anyway, went to US postal today and passed by this fast food called "Fatburgers". Being curious and a little craving for an American snack, I went in to take a look. As anyone who knows me might expect, I came out again without getting anything. A burger there really isn't expensive comparing to US standards. It's only $4.50. But I was really only look at something at most 2 bucks for a snack. Oh well... That's me... I don't mind paying more something that's worth it, but I really hate paying for something that doesn't justify its cost. Why pay more for something when I could make it myself, or find a substitution for it? Stuff that I admire is probably the spray painting that I got for 20 bucks, even though I am fully aware that the cost price is less than a buck!!! It's the skill I'm buying, and this can't be easily duplicated by anyone!!! Or at least, I can't do it myself. The week has already passed without me realizing. Time really flies. It's already the weekend, and tomorrow, my furniture will be here! To think I was lamenting over how long it would be when I bought it 3 weeks ago. Now, it's here! And I wasn't really mentally prepared for it. hehe~ Really can't imagine how would it feel to lay on my bed at night. A bed, which I paid for with my money. It really is double joy. The quality of the mattress and the fact that it's truly my bed!!! Awww... My nice lil' dream catcher can finally retire... Talking about the weekend. The weekend really feels different for a working personnel and a student. Yes, a student probably finishes the day at 3pm or sometimes 12 noon during the week, and doesn't have classes in the weekends. But is a student really free when the student doesn't have classes? I would say, at least a good, diligent and not-so-smart student isn't. In other words, I didn't. I spent almost everyday studying or working on something for somebody other than myself, like my Schoofs Competition, or for the Singapore Students Association. I didn't really have the time to truly enjoy what a real college life is, or even take a look at the apartment I lived in. Such was my college years. But now as a working personnel, living by myself in a place where no one knows me and I know no one, I finally have the time to take a good look at my apartment, and do something truly worthwhile for myself. There's finally something which I could take pride in - my apartment, my work, my ideals. It looks like the self-confidence which I had lost over the last 3 years is finally returning again. I know it will return to me eventually, because I need it. My ideals. Again I would tell myself, I have no time. Life is so short and there's so much I want to achieve in the short 40 years which I would be working. There really is no time to waste. Girls... I really don't see when a relationship will come and I really am not actively looking for any already. I'm getting more and more passive in this area as I shift my focus on to other things. It will come when it's time to come. I'm sure God already has things planned for me in this area. He has been really nice to me all these years, and I'm sure He will make sure I will have a nice girl to support me. Or even if God refuses to help me with this respect, I'm sure yuan yuan chun's rule-of-life will hold true... "If you have money, girls will flock to you." hahaha~ that smart alec... Yeap, that's it for now. I'm so glad that I actually bothered to follow my own timetable and washed the bathroom today. In fact, I washed almost the entire bathroom, including the cupboard under the sink. That only shows how much I love my apartment!!! hehehe~ Back to working towards my goals. Take it easy, guys! I love all of you! |
