Yeah, in response to bro's tags about specialization... Indeed, it's really important if you wanna make a breakthrough in this era... you really have got to specialize in something... and specialize means, not stopping at JC or poly level, but going to college... Not so much emphasis on Phd level now, but it'll be good to have... Maybe our poor kids next time will have to study for longer periods of time cuz by then, Phds will eventually become like Masters now... Necessary to make a difference in the world... I mean, as the human race discover, or invent, more and more stuff, there'll be so much more to put into the books for education purposes...

Somehow I could easily relate knowledge in this era to martial arts in the ancient chinese times... How skilful someone in the ancient china is is analogous to how smart or specialized one is in this age... What we're doing now is learning the "modern Martial Arts" in the "Modern Wu Dang or Shao Lin" where you are also enclosed by your own wish to study hard and get good results. You wake up early in the morning or sleep late at night, and you torture your poor brain, as opposed to the physical body (unless you use toothpicks to keep your eyes open to prevent dozing off), you train your concentration and your proficiency in your specialty. Your textbooks are your martial arts manuals and all other sidelines, like basketball, cooking, dancing and stuff are like learning to play chess, or use the bow and arrow or making swords... Eventually you get a degree... that's the time the fang1 zhang4 says that you can "leave the mountain". You are skilled, but yet, you are still a greenhorn... You are not good enough to survive well in the world... The world then becomes your teacher... and a physical cave in the past is an invisible cave in our field of specialty... You'd fall into it one day, and not knowing how to get out for some time... You'd probably die in there if you give up your last ounce of hope and become those white skeletons there... But then again, if you persist, who knows, you might find some ancient manuals there, or what we call experience or insights in this modern age, or even you may be enlightened by some super powerful figure in this cave... this is probably equivalent to some nobel prize winners who have retired or some smart ass who doesn't like fame, and thus not known to the world... When you are old and wise with experience (hopefully), your successors will call you qian bei because they are the greenhorn now and you are capable of enlightening them, just like those who have done the same to you before... Or in your retirement, you get yan4 juan4 of the the business in jiang1 hu2, you decide to go to australia and stay there for a couple of quiet years... that's like climbing up into the mountains and leading a simple life... and become one of those super powerful hermits living in remote places, waiting for greenhorns to fall into the cave, so that you can enlighten them... yeah... enough of this insightful crap... gonna studee... quiz tml!!! and gonna tutor some guy java later on... i have almost forgotten everything already... hahahha~ dunno which lucky guy is going to be enlightened by this powerful hermit... heehee~

Inspiration Quotes

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
