Yippy!!! Finally done with my Roulette hardware design!!! Am really proud of it man... It's really cool... Especially after all those frustrations in debugging and stuff... The exhilaration and gratification one feels when one's creation is finally working is really indescribable... nor can it be felt by anyone other than oneself... and the best part is, I came up with the roulette idea myself... and i created it from scratch... yes! From scratch...from nothing at all... and making it with all the limited knowledge that i know... and it works... beautifully... at least professional enough to get myself exempted from the bench exam, hopefully... I have got to take a video of it when i demonstrate it to my TA man.. hee hee~. But yes... everything comes with a price... and a reward... This sense of gratification has costs me my Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday!!! Ahh!!! But that's only around 30 hrs worth of lab time... hmmm... but i guess this is all worth it, for the successful completion of the project. The nights spent in the lab, espcially tues night when i worked 11 hrs straight from 5pm to 4am... hahha~ and the weird thing is I don't feel tired at all... the more i'm at it, the more enthusiastic i become... perhaps, this is certainly the kind of job for me... less the frustrations, hair-pulling and food binging... hahha~ All for the sake of the sense of achievement at the end... But anyway, i guess 30hrs is a little too much efforts put in for a 1 credit lab... Oh whatever... haha~ we can't classify what we do in our workplace as 1 cr or 5 cr right? Work is work and it must be done... as best as you can... That's my policy... If you want to do something, do it well... if not skip it! Alright, there're times when i went against my policy... hee hee~ but those were the times when i did a piece of work sloppy enough for a reasonable amount of credits because it's not my interest to invest so much time in it when i needed the time for other stuff and yet, still need the credits to do well... hahah~

Anyway, there's one interesting thing that i learnt about myself during the project, that is, for some things i simply do not learn... hahha~ and the result is i crashed the program at least once every half an hr... haha~ that's because i tend to do multiple tasks at the same time... For example, i let the system compile while i looked at the design and at the same time preparing for the next step after it compiles... But i did that just because the com is compiling far too slowly for me to make efficient use of my time... I think i spent at least a total of 1 hr sitting there compiling my work because of the changes that i made during debugging... haha~ okay... it's just me... I can't stand stuff that does things too slowly... come on! I have too little time to just sit down there in front of that electrical box and wait for it to say:"FREEZE!" (ie, program crashes). Yep, guess im starting to blabber nonsensical stuff again...

Am tired... So there!!! Will post a pic of my design here if possible... hee hee~ and maybe a video too!!! wahaha~ okay, that's not very possible... 500 mb is a little too large...

Yupz... studeee!!! Everything seems to have come to a halt when i worked on the proj... i focussed on nothing else but the proj... oh well... time to get back to normal life... that is a mugger life... no more fun... so sianz... hahhaa~ Alright, actualyl there's still something to look forward to, other than the road trip im going on during thanksgiving... yupz... will be attempting on my second invention... which i guess will be quite lame... but nonetheless, it's the training that im interested in... who knows, someone may just love my invention and decides to give me a couple of grands to spend... hee hee~ if i get a prize for this, im definitely going to get WARF to license it for me man... yeah WARF is a research foundation here which helps students market or license their inventions for 80% of the deal... yeah... it's like cheating me of my $$, but it's good for starters... especially when you need some capital to start your ambitions with... Especially when patenting here costs thousands of dollars and after you get your patent, you still have to get someone to license it to... Why not get WARF to do it? Saves time and it's free... they pay for all costs... so even if you can't license it, you don't lose anything... even though you don't gain much... Well, i guess for a start, maybe 30 - 40 k should be enough to spend... hee hee~ after all 20% of a 200k deal is actually 40k!!! that's not bad money man!!! and if there's royalties, it's even better!!! The royalties lasts for 20 yrs!!! Which means i'll be reaping from this till im 43!!! not bad!!! hee hee hee~ okay... am dreaming away... back to reality... Will just work to the best of my abilities and see how it turns out... I'm sure i can make it one day... I WILL!!!

Inspiration Quotes

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
